Welcome to the first issue of our EANAB Newsletter!
We plan to publish our newsletter quarterly to keep you informed about our community engagement efforts and the latest developments with EANAB, complementing the information on our newly redesigned website.

Edinburgh Airport Community Fund Edinburgh Airport is offering £300,000 in funding to community groups, social enterprises, and charities this year. Applications are open until Thursday, August 15th, 2024. Visit the Edinburgh Airport Community Fund website for more details.

Community Engagement
Edinburgh Airport have a Community Space on their corporate website, which contains information regarding their community engagement, charity partnership, Noise Lab and more. The EAL Sustainability Manager, Aaron McKeen, has been visiting Community Councils based on the communities that are most affected by aircraft noise.

Noise Complaints and Monitoring
The EAL Casper Noise and Track System allows members of the public to check aircraft noise levels and flight specific information such as flight position and altitude using radar data.
|
EAL publishes a Noise Complaints report every quarter. The Q1 2024 Report and the EANAB Summary are available on the EANAB website.
|

|
Noise Action Plans
The Scottish Government has commissioned work on the collaborative development of modelling and MAPPING to describe the noise exposure in Scotland and produce a new Noise Action Plan.
|
|
Meetings to discuss the EAL NAP contribution are being held between EAL and EANAB. The Public Consultation will begin in Autumn 2024.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Airspace Change Proposal
A collaborative ACP Reference Group, with participation from EANAB, is being setup to assess the effectiveness and user-friendliness of the ACP consultation materials before publication.
|
The EAL Airspace Change Proposal is currently in Stage 3, with public consultation expected near the end of the year.

Health Impacts
The CAA publishes Aircraft Noise and Health Effects reports bi annually. The May 2024 report is available for viewing on the EANAB website.
